Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Rugby League is very close to my heart, as i have played the game for many years both at school level and amateur open Age for Lindley Swifts ARLFC and for the past 10 years Moldgreen ARLFC,  And recently in the last few years i had a 3 month Trial with Batley Bulldogs under Gary Thornton and Barry Eaton.

As im sure many of you will be aware Danny Scott Played for Moldgreen, I was playing in the Team when Danny was seriousley injured against sowerby spartans in January 2004. I Know that the Fund has helped Danny immensley which is the main reason i have chosen the fund.

This is a really big challenge for me as i have never competed in a Triathlon before so i thought it would be really fitting to involve Rugby and The Benevolent fund in my challenge. I have finally hung up my Rugby boots and am now training really hard every morning for the Triathlon, I have the likes of Chris (spuggy) Thorman former captain of the Huddersfield Giants and now Assistant player coach of York City Knights, He is doing things like Hill sprints and a whole host of other drills with me, I also have Charlie Baker who is a Triathlete and Personal Trainer at Total Fitness Huddersfield, I am also doing strength conditioning with Greg Brown assistant coach for the Huddersfield Giants.

I have a very good relationship with the Players and coaching staff at the Giants as i run St Andrews Motor Company, Leeds road, Huddersfield along side my Business Partner and owner Tim Marsden, We have a Gym at the rear of our garage where the Giants train on a daily basis so i speak with them on a regular basis, so in terms of my training i think im in very good hands and looking to come in with a very good time and hopefully a load of money for the fund.

As well as the Triathlon on the 6th of June 2010 i am also planning to take part in the Carnegie Row Challenge taking place at Leeds Carnegie Met on the 15th of April 2010 which consists of a 26.2 mile row to be completed in under 4 hours and competing against former Rugby league stars including Paul Sculthorpe, Kris Radlinski, Terry o'conner, and a sky sports Team, For more information log on to the Rugby League Benovolent Fund website at www.rflbenevolentfund.co.uk.

Please keep logging on to my just giving page for updates and for future events, my plans for 2011 is a half Iron man and a whole host of other events.

Thanks very much for visiting and donating on my Just giving page, Please remember this is for a very good cause so please give generousley and tell your friends.

Bye for now
