Teesside Hospice must raise in the region of £4,400.00 each and every day of the year in order to carry out it's work, caring for the needs of thousands of Cancer sufferer's and those suffering from other debilitating illness' on Teesside. To raise much needed money for this cause, I am embarking on a two part challenge. In 2012 I Completed The Coast and Castles Bike ride. A gruelling 200 mile cycle route from Newcastle to Edinburgh.

With part 1 completed, just a matter of months later I will be joined by my wife Julie, to attempt a trek across the Sahara Desert..a 104 Km trek over 5 days, tackling high sand dunes and climbing the Jemel Lamrakeb region, a forbidding landscape punctuated by stark peaks, and formidable gorges and all while tackling day time temperatures of up to 45 degrees and night time temperatures as low as 0 degrees !.
