Cycling4Gaza is an international initiative that aims to actively raise awareness about the ongoing blockade on Gaza and raise funds for critical education and healthcare projects in the Gaza Strip.

We are a group of people from all over the world who want to make a difference by mobilising people to come together in a yearly cycling challenge. This year, we will cycle over 350km in 3 days from Bandirma to Istanbul in Turkey. 

The funds we raise in 2012 will go to support Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP). MAP is a British charity that has been working to deliver medical care to the most vulnerable Palestinian communities for over 25 years.

We have partnered with MAP to support two healthcare projects in Gaza and one in Lebanon's Palestinian refugee camps.

Gaza projects: MAP's Primary Trauma Care training - this manages serious physical trauma in order to prevent death and disability. Ensuring Safe Childbirth program in Gaza - this provides expectant mothers in targeted areas of Gaza with access to quality antenatal, safe delivery and postnatal care.

Lebanon project: Maternal and Child Health program - this is the only program in these Palestinian refugee camps that offers home visits and provides one-to-one counselling for expectant mothers. The program also provides psycho-social support to families in their extremely difficult living conditions.

So dig deep,and remember no donation is too big or too small. Our target is £200,000 and every donation makes a difference.
