Dumball 2012: Back to Black

RED LEADER are taking part in Dumball 2012: Back to Black - a mad dash (it's not a race!) across Europe in a load of old bangers. Dumball 2012 promises to be bigger and even better than ever. We are driving to the Ukraine via no less than 14 amazing countries, fundraising for Teenage Cancer Trust as we go. As well as driving the length of Italy, zipping through Albania, and hitting the Carpathian mountains in Romania, we are visting Moldova and Ukraine for the first time ever. Check out the route map here

Here's what this sorry bunch of misfits had to say when they applied to join the dumball:

I am, frankly, aghast to be made to jump through such hoops. I was good enough for the last five, I'm good enough for this one!
- I can drive
- I have a lovely face
- Some of my jokes are funny

Don't have a car or a concept yet but hopefully it will involve a rooftop dancefloor again - just out of habit.

Now the important bit. Since 2007, the dumball has been raising money for the Teenage Cancer Trust to build a state-of-the-art unit at a recognised centre of excellence, the Royal Marsden Hospital. This is now open, thanks in part at least to the fundraising efforts of Dumballers. Help TCT with their next major projects by donating today.

Teenage Cancer Trust

Charity Registration No. 1062559

Every day in the UK, six teenagers are diagnosed with cancer. At Teenage Cancer Trust, we understand that cancer doesn’t stop these teenagers being teenagers. We know that young people have a much better chance if they are treated by teenage cancers experts, in an environment tailored to their needs. So we have created specialist units that aren’t like ordinary cancer wards. Everything about them has been designed to give teenagers the very best chance of a positive outcome. And we want every young person with cancer in this country to have that chance.
