Durham University Netball Club (DUNC) have taken on the mammoth task of playing a 72 hour long continuous game of netball in order to break the Guinness World Record for the longest netball match!  We're testing our endurance to raise money for three great causes: Help for Heroes (50%), Sport in Action Zambia (25%), DUNC (25%). However please be aware that money donated to this page will go ONLY to Help for Heroes (2/3) and Sport in Action Zambia (1/3). For more information about the work that they do please follow this link: <a href="http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/">http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/</a> Sport in Action Zambia is a non-governmental funded project based upon sport development in Zambia. <span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt; background-color: white; line-height: 13.1pt; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial;">The partnership selects and trains specialist sports and media students from six universities (Stirling, UWIC, Durham, Northumbria, Bath and Loughborough) who travel out to Lusaka where they spend the Summer weeks working with local volunteers, organising and delivering School PE lessons, Community sports programmes and health awareness workshops within the deprived areas of the City’s compounds. The project aims to focus on the positive impact that sport can have upon impoverished communities, which are often affected by high levels of unemployment, crime, exclusion and many health risks, including HIV and AIDS.
