<p>In 2008 we sadly lost our friend Dale Jacobs to cancer.&nbsp; Dale was a very popular man, always charming and full of fun. To remember this great friend, we have held several events to raise money for Macmillan.<br /><br />For the fourth remembrance event sixty Orient fans walked the eight mile walk from Leyton Orient to Charlton Athletic FC on 2nd April raising &pound;2186.<br /><br />On 14th May we will be contesting the fourth Dale Jacobs Memorial Trophy at Brisbane Road with Leyton Orientear desperately hoping for their first win against LOFT.&nbsp; Both teams will feature ex-Orient legends.&nbsp;&nbsp; For more details please see the website: http://www.djt2010.co.uk/</p> <p>Please do join us.&nbsp; Bring the kids, we have facepainting, balloon animals and goodie bags.</p> <p>After the game, there will be a penalty shoot out on the pitch, followed by an auction in the West Stand, before a raffle and an evening's entertainment in The Birkbeck Tavern, Leytonstone, featuring live music from Pork &amp; Beans and a disco.</p> <p>All money raised from the event will go to Macmillan Cancer Support and St Marks Hospital, London, please give generously in memory of Dale and to support those affected by cancer.
