Thanks for visiting the Rosalind Dancygier Travelling Fellowship fundraising page at UCLH in collaboration with EACMFS.
Daniel is at it again! He successfully completed five back to back marathons of more than 26 miles each in June and raised a staggering amount of almost £3,500. Daniel is now in training to attempt to row 100 kilometres in 10 hours! He is training everyday and is looking forward to the live event on Tuesday 6 October at his local Virgin Active Gym in Chigwell. He really has earned the reputation of "the crazy Frenchman", but we are very grateful that Daniel is working so hard on our behalf.
The Fellowship has been endowed in memory of Rosalind Dancygier and this provides funding for international visitors to come to University College Hospital to get exposure to the very latest treatments for head and neck cancer. The Fellowship is open to all head and neck trainees in Europe and is designed to promote the exchange of knowledge in the treatment of head and neck cancer. The Award holder will spend time at University College Hospitals working with the oncology team looking after patients at UCH, and bringing ideas from overseas for the benefit of our patients here. It is anticipated they will also be exposed to the full spectrum of cancer reconstruction surgery management, so that they should be able to take some new skills back to their own countries for benefit of their patients in the future.
We are very grateful to Daniel for his fund-raising on our behalf, raising money for this Fellowship. All contributions are gratefully received, allowing us to support research into improving care for head and neck cancer patients.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: UCLH Charity gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor Daniel now, and if you have time, why not support him at the Virgin Active Gym in person on 6th October.
