Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 8th August 2010 I will be taking part in the Outlaw Triathlon: 2.4 miles swimming, 112 miles cycling and 26.2 miles of running.  This will be by far the toughest physical challenge I've ever done. I'll be doing a 30 week training program to prepare for it, but even then on the day it will still take me in the region of 14 hours to complete.

Cancer of Unknown Primary (CUP) is the diagnosis given to about 5% of cancer patients. Since the treatment for any cancer is based on the primary type, this is a particularly scary thing for both the patient and their loved ones. I found this out first hand, and also how little information there is about CUP when my mother was diagnosed with it in November 2009. The work that Jo's Friends do offers both support and hope to people in the situation my family was in.
