Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. As some people maybe aware I was diagnosed with a Pituitary Tumour back in 2008 and had surgery the same year to have it removed, to cut a very long story short it was an up hill battle to get back on my feet and back to full health, without the help and resources of the Pituitary Foundation the uphill battle would have been a longer process and a very lonely one as I found a group of people out there who actually knew what a Pituitary Gland was and how I could best deal with this rare disorder (please see www.pituitary.org.uk for more details).
On the 25th June I am taking up the Yorkshire 3 peaks Challenge to raise money for the Pituitary Foundation as it is a Charity that relies solely on donations.
What is the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge? This challenge starts and finishes at Horton-In-Ribblesdale, Yorkshire. Walkers will first head for Pen-Y-Ghent (691 metres) utilising parts of the Pennine Way, then head over to Ribblehead via the local Mosses which cover the low Dales. Continue alongside the Settle to Carlise railway, before starting the climb to the summit of Whernside (728 metres). Drop down to Chapel-le-Dale, before the final climb of the day up to Ingleborough (723 metres). Now the long walk back to the finish at Horton, in total 24.5 miles and I aim to do it within 12 hours.
Any amount you can sponsor me will be greatly appreciated by myself and the Pituitary Foundation!!
