NEXT EVENT:

In September 2012 I will be embarking on trekking to the top of the world's highest free standing mountain - Mount Kilimanjaro!

Standing at 5,895 meters (19,341 ft), climbing it will be made that much harder due to the attitude and climate ....but a worthwhile adventure and challenge nonetheless!

Please help Sponsor me and help me to raise money for this fantastic cause - Get Kids Going!

Previous Events:

- In April 2011, I trekked across the Jordanian desert, through Wadis (dry river beds) and up and down mountains to get to our eventual destination - Ancient Petra!! It took us 5 days to walk there covering apx 100km (although I'm sure it will be more like 150 miles!!!!! )

 

 - On 25th July 2010, Aaron and I travelled from Calais, down to Monte Carol, Bormio, Venice and then Rome.....in a £150 Banger!!!!!! We had to do it in 5 days and we travelled on a wing and a very LARGE prayer!!

We bought ourselves a M Reg Vauxhall Astra 1.4 GLS with 107,000 miles on the clock and which sounded like a professional Rally car with a nice hole in the exhaust!!

A big thanks to the kindness of "Eden Vauxhall of Newbury" who ensured that the car was road worthy and safe..... added a splash a bit of colour onto it (Pictures to Follow).

 

 - In April 2010 I (Danny) completed 10 days away while Trekking the Annapurna trail in the Himalayas, Nepal. It was a very challenging event but VERY rewarding and a great personal triumph for myself, enabling me to train hard and loose a Stone and a half in weight. 

I'm doing all of this to raise much needed money for the Children's charity - Get Kids Going! This is a fantastic charity that raises money to buy specialised Wheelchairs and Equipment so that disabled children also have the chance to participate in sporting events too :)

EVENT SUMMARY:

1) Trek Ancient Petra, Jordan (Completed April 2011)
2) Home2Rome Banger rally - Calais to Rome in 5 days! (Completed July 2010)
3) Trek the Annapurna Trail, Nepal (Completed - April - it was awesome!)
