Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have now reached 40 an age my Dad was told he wouldn't see when he was diagnosed with MS (I was a baby at the time). Through determination, a strict regime and the help of my wonderful mum, he's still with us, albeit he's struggled in recent years. It's time we beat this and I want to challenge myself to help achieve that goal.
In 2007 I had a cartilage transplant (it was either that or a knee replacement) and was told not to run for a year. I was off my feet for three months and it took a long time to recover. In the last two years I've started running and built up to a half marathon in March 2015. Now it's time to see whether I can complete the big one - a marathon. It's a hell of a challenge but I'm determined to tackle it head on, like my Dad did with his MS and raise an awful lot of money for such a worthy and often overlooked cause.
