Welcome to your new improved fundraising page. Find out what's changed and why.

What's new?

  1. The new header makes it much easier to see all the fundraising info at a glance. Plus, the page can now be shared to more social networks to encourage more people to give.
  2. The charity information is much more prominent, highlighting the cause you’re supporting.
  3. The new gallery makes it easier to see the images and video.
  4. Dedicated sections show the teams and companies you’re part of, emphasising the fundraising community you belong to.

What's coming?

The new design will also allow us to introduce some great features very soon to help you tell your fundraising story, like page updates, themes and a new page summary. Read all about these and other upcoming changes on our blog.

My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This will be my 4th London Marathon, and my 7th marathon overall.  Running a marathon is always a great challenge and one that I am really looking forward to.  The atmosphere on the day is electric.  As always I hope my knees keep going all the way round!

This year's marathon is part of my Olympic Challenge - "Going for Gold" as I bid to run 50 races over various different distances during 2012.  This year I am raising money for Brain Tumour UK in memory of Lesley Hall, a friend and colleague at the Institute of Linguists who very sadly died after a very short illness in July last year.

Brain Tumour UK is the leading caring charity committed to fighting brain tumours.  By raising awareness Brain Tumour UK looks to change things for the better for everyonbe who is affected by brain tumours providing support and improving the quality fo life for patients.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to Brain Tumour UK and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

I am always enourmously grateful for everyone's support of my annual fund-raising ventures.  I hope that as many of you as possible will be watching the London Marathon on 22 April out on the course shouting your encouragement!  I look forward to seeing you there! Give me a wave!  Thank you.
