Hi Again Everyone,
Spent half the day Saturday waiting for the 35mph wind gusts to subside but no plane took off that day so re-booked for the next day (Sunday)
Eureka - Sunday morning arrived ( 5.30 again) and lo and behold cloudless sky and No wind so we high tailed it down to the airfield ( Shotton near Peterlee) and were first to arrive at 7.30. and therefore the first in line to jump before any change in weather. Finally got to dive at 9.30. It was a great experience and a friend Paul Rowe who has been skydiving for 20 years jumped just after me and linked up as you can see in the photo above.
I'm delighted to have raised so much money for this worthy cause and once again, to all my family, friends and colleagues, thanks for all your support - I couldn't have done it without you!
Dave
PS. Donations are still welcomed.
Hi Everyone,
Just an update on the Skydive. I didnt get to jump on Sunday 16th because of the weather, It was too windy and too cloudy, not a good combination for jumping out of a plane! so I rebooked for Sunday just gone and although waiting all day for good weather it was the same outcome.
However I am rebooked for next Saturday the 29th and hopefully the weather will be good - I will keep you informed! So far we have raised nearly £800 and there are still some pledges to come in, so Thankyou so much, I really appreciate your kindness.
Dave
Hi All
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have been persuaded (no going back now) into carrying out a charity Tandem Skydive from 10,000 ft on the 15th or 16th of August (day depending on weather) in aid of a very worthwhile charity, namely St. Oswalds Hospice and would really appreciate it if you could support me in this by the way of sponsorship - any amount will help.
I hope to see you all at sometime after the event.
Thanking you all in advance.
Dave
