Thanks for looking
I will be running my first (and probably last) marathon on the 4th of October. I decided to do a hilly off-road one to make it more interesting. Now that I have done lots of training, I realise just how stupid this was. Anyway I hope to hobble to the finish line one way or another before it goes dark.
I am trying to raise money for the Hospice which looked after my Mum. They made her very comfortable during her last few days. I haven't set a target, please give any amount.
[Post Marathon Update]Thanks for all your donations, and if you didn't get round to it yet, it's not too late.
I did manage to finish in 4 hours, 27 minutes and 58 seconds (official results) and came in 210th place. The first half of the run was quite enjoyable and despite the increasingly painful second half, the views of the Wiltshire and Hampshire countryside made time pass a little less slowly.
I have now had 18 hours rest and spent 25 minutes taking the dog for a 1K walk. Thank God we have a downstairs toilet.
