Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

I set the page up as an aspirant participant in the Warrington Half Marathon on 4th Ocotber 2009. Halton Housing Trust is entering a Team to raise money for Halton Haven Hospice and for HITS. Sadly,  I  had to pull out of the Team because of an ankle injury but not before I had persuaded my friend Bill Murphy to join the Team. So, any donations you are kind enough to give will be credited to Bill and go to Halton Haven Hospice.

Incidentally, the ankle injury is a 'landing injury' - landing is something that happens after falling, preceded, in my case, by rock climbing.  It is not therefore, a 'climbing injury'.  In case you are concerned (and why should you be?) it is on the mend but not up to running 13 miles.

Thank you

Dave
