Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am raising money for the Greenwich and Bexley Cottage Hospice (http://www.cottagehospice.org.uk), which provides Specialist Palliative Care for the people of Greenwich and Bexley to people with life limiting illnesses and offers support to their families and carers.

Several years ago the Hospice provided end-of-life care for my partners mother, both myself and my fiancee have been meaning to do something to say thank you for their excellent support at that most difficult time.  This looked like just the ticket to combine my love of cycling with a decent physical and mental challenge for this most worthy cause.

Any donation will be most gratefully accepted.

Although the organisers have told me i need to state that a substantial amount of donations should be taken out to cover costs of my participating, i will be looking to cover these from company sponsorship, otherwise I will cover the cost myself so either way every last penny of donations will be given to the charity.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

I will be trying my best to keep a blog up of my training and other associated information via my twitter page (http://twitter.com/davehemm)

Thanks

David
