Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Now that I am no longer working, I have more time to enjoy myself and help others. My next project is to cycle to Skye - it's about 750miles on the route I am taking and I am aiming to do it in a couple of weeks or so averaging about 60 miles a day except over the steep bits.

Part of the reason is to revisit the land of my birth, but I am also hoping that through friends' generous sponsorship we will be able to raise a good sum for a very worthy charity - Eaves - which supports and empowers vulnerable women. I think giving for this cause at this time is especially timely as it's generally accepted that women will suffer more as a result of the recession and cut back in public spending and Eaves is targeted at the women who are most vulnerable.

Please take a minute to look at their website and the work they do at www.eaves4women.co.uk/About_Us

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
