Many of you will know me as a person who would do anything for anyone who needs help. This being my first time raising money for charity, I've decided to do little things throughout the year like car boot sales, raffles and sponsored events to raise money for The Henry van Straubenzee Memorial Fund for the exceptional work they do with schools in Uganda, helping young children to prosper giving them the opportunity to lift themselves out of the poverty into which they were born.
Without education these children would lack the basic literacy and numeracy skills that most of us take for granted. When I was younger I hated having to go to school to learn Maths, English etc but for a child in Uganda learning such subjects would be a dream.
Giving money is to give a future, so please give what you can.
Thanks
Dave
