We are aiming to raise £100,000 to meet the 18 months running costs and supply of a vehicle for the Nariokotome Primary Health Care programme in Turkana, Kenya.

The programme operates four permanent dispensaries and a mobile clinic which sets out at 8:00 am each day to visit some of the 24 outreach locations it supports across 11,000 square miles to distribute medicine, vaccinations, medical supplies and health education.

Since 1987 New Ways’ partner in Kenya the MCSPA has run a Primary Health Care Programme and Mobile Clinic at Nariokotome. No other health provider is active in the whole of North Turkana, which means this programme provides the only access to health services for a major part of the population of North Turkana. Funding has been irregular in the past, and this year we are putting a specific focus on funding this vital work.
