Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am fundraising for St Clare's Hospice because in 2002 I lost two of the most important people in my life to cancer. My dad (David) had skin cancer, which spread to his bones and liver, taking his life at the age of just 47. My Granddad (Aquilla) had throat cancer and after an ongoing battle with the disease finally passed away just a few weeks after my Dad.
Both of these people are greatly loved and missed by all who knew them, and in the last days of their lives were provided with care and support at St Clare's Hospice. I cannot thank them enough for the comfort and dignity they gave these two wonderful men.
It takes £1.85 million a year to run the hospice, so charitable donations are essential for them to continue their vitally important work providing palliative care.
I would really appreciate your support in raising money for this fantastic organisation by sponsoring me to shave my head in memory of these two great men, who I will always remember every day of my life.
The event will take place at 11.30am on Saturday 3 September at Hair by Jack, Westoe, South Shields, if anyone would like to come along and watch…if not a video will be posted on the internet.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. I hope you will give generously.
