Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and a big thank you to those who have already given both on line and otherwise especially my dear niece Emily who cleaned a car to raise money for me.
I entered this challenge in order to raise money for the Children's Hospice South West. Unlike Hospices for adults which do recieve at least some funding from the Government, Children's Hospices receive very little indeed. Therefore they rely entirely on the goodwill and love of us all in order to to do the work that they do.
As you can see from the dates, the ride is over now and I am very pleased to be able to report that I made the ride from London to Geneva without mishap except for an accumulative extra 10 miles due to going off course a couple of times!
There were 68 who rode from London to Paris, a further 9 which included me who rode the whole distance from London to Geneva and another 12 who joined us in Paris for the Paris to Geneva leg. I have to say that we were exceptionally lucky with the weather. It was a tough event but very enjoyable and the camaraderie was fantastic.
I paid all of my own expenses including the fees to the organisers so every penny donated here will go to the charity of choice and the purpose intended. The site will stay open for donations for n3 months from the finish of the ride so please continue to donate if you have not already.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now for the sake of the poor children in hospices and make their lives a little bit more acceptable and filled with love including yours!
