Story
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page, we are raising funds on behalf of Rutland House School for Parents. Rutland House helps pre-school age children with physical, learning and communication disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy and Down’s syndrome get a better start in life. They offer a completely free service to families and rely entirely on charitable donations to keep the service going. For each family they support, they need to raise £5,500 each year..!!
On 1st and 2nd May, Myself (Dave Nicholson), Chris Billington, Simon Maddocks, John Norris, Mark Tomlinson, Ian Gregory and Chris Noble, will be undertaking the infamous Coast to Coast challenge, cycling the 150-miles from Whitehaven to Tynemouth. A painful, mainly uphill, jaunt through the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and the Northumberland wilderness, to raise funds to support Rutland House School for Parents.
My son Finlay, aged 3, has Cerebral Palsy and related physical difficulties. He has attended Rutland House now for over 2-years. Their dedication, skill and genuine love for the children they help care for is inspiring. Finlay is now a confident little boy who enjoys life to the full through the social and physical skills and development gained from Rutland House.
We want to contribute to help this amazing school continue to provide the magic it does for so many children and their families.
Please help us to help Rutland House School for Parents by making a donation through this page. We are grateful for any amount donated – it all adds up.
Many thanks
Team Coast to Coast: Dave, Chris, Simon, John, Mark, Ian and Chris...
