Story
Having had my leg broken on Boxing Day, and still convalescing, I now have an inkling of what it must be like to lose a limb permanently. I therefore decided to have a go at the largest sponsored ride ever (which turned out to be 8 miles long,
starting from Ascot racecourse, going to the Jubilee Statue in Windsor
Great Park, and culminating
past the finishing post at Ascot racecourse). All went well, and I have uploaded some photos.
This was held on 10 July to raise money for Help for Heroes, which raises money to support members of the Armed
Forces who have been wounded in the service of their country. You can bet that despite the outcome of election, these folk won't receive as much help as they deserve. Come on - you know you can afford a few quid towards this. You wont be subsidising my riding - I've already paid a £100 entry fee - so your donation will go to Help for Heroes. Please select 'Gift Aid' if you are a UK taxpayer.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Thanks also to my off-line sponsors: Rita Rothery, Kim Goodie, Janet Valentine, Anji Flynn, Andrea Trofimov, Helen K-B, Mike and Sandra K-B, David and Brenda Crowther, Linda Fowler, Louse Sharp, Jackie Cowley, Carole and Richard Webb, Jenny Haycock, Peter Sheldon, Ashea Tambe, Helen Rothery.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now :-)
