Virgin London Marathon 2010 · 25 April 2010 ·

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the leading charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

In June 2004 at the age of 42 I had a Stroke. It was a frightening time for me and a worrying time for my family. After 10 days in Hospital and 3 months on sick, I decided to prove to everyone, not least myself, that there was Life after Stroke.

Three stone lighter and a good deal fitter, I decided to take up running.

Since October 2005, I have run 2 marathons, several half marthons and numerous 10K races.

I was lucky to recover from my Stroke, but please help me to help others not so lucky and show that indeed there is

Life after Stroke
