Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page which is dedicated to the memory of my brother Peter Thomson.
Tragically Peter was taken ill in June 2010 and died of a brain tumour in the September, after a short illness.
Amongst the sheer devestation we were all feeling as a family at the time of Peter's illness, there were some fantastic people who looked after him.
I want to dedicate something to his memory, whilst at the same time raising money for the Jospice who took such great care of him during his final weeks.
Therefore, on the 27 March 2011 I shall be running the LIverpool Half Marathon in his memory.
Not for me the New York, Paris or London marathons, but something simple that I feel sure he would have approved of.
You can visit the Jospice website to read about the great things that they do. Apparently they need something close to £40,000 a week in order to provide the care that is required for terminally ill people, website details are enclosed below.
If I can do something to contribute in a small way towards this I would be very happy.
Therefore if you are able to give anything they would be deeply grateful for your support.
My intention is to try and reach as many people as possible, therefore one of the things I shall be doing is communicating through Facebook, email etc to try and reach as many people as possible.
By "liking" my page on Facebook, it makes it easier to share my page with your friends
Please share this with as many people as you can who would have known Peter.
Of course I shall be updating you all with how the training is going ( not a lot as it happens at the moment!), and hopefully get some pictures on the day which I can post to the site
