My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Sunday 6th September 2009, I am part of a team from Newbattle High School taking part in a sponsored walk to raise money for Richmond's Hope.

We are due to walk around Arthur's seat in Holyrood Park, Edinburgh.

However....

I don't believe in making things easy for myself, so I have decided to increase the challenge by doing the entire walk whilst wearing flippers.  Yes, that's right: I will be walking miles wearing flippers*....  I'm quite looking forward to it, actually.

Richmond's Hope began in 2003 in the Niddrie area of Edinburgh and is based in Richmond Craigmillar Church. They work in a purpose built playroom where children and young people are helped to rebuild their lives after the death of someone they loved.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

* to clarify, I shall be wearing more than just flippers :)
