Dear All,
This February I will be running the Ras Al Khaimah half marathon. Those of you who know me, will understand that whilst I am definitely built for the Front Row on the Rugby field, it is questionable as to whether my physique is entirely aligned to distance running.
Moreover, I realised upon turning 30 (ridiculous picture at my Birthday party attached) that I have never thought to give back to the John Radcliffe Hospital who literally saved my life in 1984. Kidney disease was not well known in the 1980's and this Childrens Hospital trust provided not only the life saving operation to remove my failed Kidney, but extensive support prior to and long after the event. They do an excellent job providing specialist care for sick Children and their Families. Please do give generously.
I am in full swing running and training and can guarantee you all, that even completing this run is not guaranteed at this stage!! Any amount you can sponsor would be greatfully recieved - I am keen to give as much as possible to this great NHS Trust.
Thanks for your time, greater thanks for your money, and wish me luck.
Dave
