<p dir="ltr">For those that knew him, the world became a far poorer place on 30th July when David was tragically taken from us.</p>
<p dir="ltr"> </p>
<p dir="ltr"> </p>
<p dir="ltr">David will be sorely missed not only by his family and close friends but also by the hundreds who came to know him through his exceptional professional career.</p>
<p dir="ltr"> </p>
<p dir="ltr">He first came to know many of us through his work, and his infectious enthusiasm, positivity, charisma and concern for others meant that many of us quickly became his friend and stayed friends. David's generosity of spirit, his willingness to listen and his desire to treat everyone as an equal were all gifts we were lucky enough to share. Whether CEO or office junior, you were treated with the same respect and warmth.</p>
<p dir="ltr"> </p>
<p dir="ltr">For all of us life's not going to be the same. No more enjoyable debates on work, football and cricket. No more glimpses of David rushing off (slightly late!) to light up a meeting with his smile and positive attitude. No more David having the last word with a well timed quip.</p>
<p dir="ltr"> </p>
<p dir="ltr">Not having David in our lives will leave a vacuum, but he will live on in our hearts and we will all be able to share a wealth of great memories long into the future.</p>
<p dir="ltr"> </p>
<p dir="ltr">David's family would be grateful if, instead of flowers, people would be willing to make a gesture in David's memory in aid of the British Heart Foundation in the hope that others may continue to benefit.</p>
<p dir="ltr"> </p>
<p dir="ltr">It's what David would've wanted, one last tax-saving idea!</p>
