My story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm taking part in the 2012 Virgin London Marathon and am running to raise funds for AbleChildAfrica, who campaign for and promote the rights of disabled and young people across Africa. Tragically, many children are are born into societies and cultures where disability is stigmatised to the point that the child is frequently hidden away from the world. Much of the work AbleChildAfrica do is aimed at changing attidudes and promoting ways in which such children can be included in the development of their local communities. As for myself, I've run 5K, 10K and half-marathon races this year and am very excited about taking part in this prestigious event- despite having to train throughout the dark, cold and wet winter months! I'd very much appreciate any donation you are able to make towards helping me reach my target and contributing towards a brighter future for many disabled childen across Africa.
