I know that many people wish to pay respects for Dav, if you do, please don't send flowers, it would mean more to Dav, his family and myself if you supported St John's Hospice.
We were only at St John's Hospice for a few weeks in November. It was one of the most challenging times physically and emotionally in Dav's illness and they took amazing care of both him and me. They allowed us to cope and get through a really difficult time.
They set up a bed for me each night so I could stay with him, and brought us both breakfast in bed each morning!
One of the most special things they did was arrange for Dav to do an ultrasound scan on me and my bump, so in the midst of his treatment there, we had the most joyous moment when he got to scan me and see the baby jumping around happily oblivious to life's hardships.
They rely on half their income from charitable donations. It is truly a good place.
