As you know I am not the fittest, fastest or healthiest person in the world but I have decided to change lots of that and in doing so raise money for Diabetes UK.  On September 7th 2014 I will be joining 56,000 other crazy people and running the Great North Run.  From now until then I will be trying to lose weight, get fit and get ready for the gun going off.

Diabetes UK need me to raise at least £350 for them through this endeavour and with your help and support I hope to not only do that but to do much more.

What you may not know about me is that over 10 years ago I joined the millions of people worldwide who have been told they have diabetes.  Diabetes is on the increase and research is needed to stop this trend.
