Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm sure you've all heard of Crufts - the biggest dog show in the world? Well I have Chihuahuas that have qualified to be shown there this year. Most exhibitors buy a new outfit for Crufts - after all you never know where the TV cameras are filming!

Well, this year, for Macmillan Cancer Relief, I will show my dog in the ring, wearing a Minnie Mouse onesie - complete with ears and tail (although I'm not promising to wag it).

More than one in three of us will get cancer. For most of us it will be the toughest fight we ever face. Macmillan provide both practical and emotional help to face that fight and and help make sure no one faces cancer alone.

98% of Macmillan's income comes from donations so please, give generously. You never know when you might need them - let's make sure they're still around. http://www.macmillan.org.uk

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

FAQ: What happens if you don't get to Crufts?

Should I fall into a sink hole or get swept away in the floods then Ray will wear it (yes it will fit him), and if we both get felled by a falling tree or something, then daughter Stephanie will do it. Whatever happens, there will be a mouse in the house at Crufts.

Can I give you the money at Crufts? Yes if that is what you want and I will have a collecting tin with me, although I WON’T be going around asking for money.  However I’d much rather you donated online. You can donate anonymously if that’s what you’d prefer.

Why Macmillan and not Cancer Research etc? Personal choice this. Those who know me know that my husband has just undergone 6 months of Chemo for bowel cancer. Macmillan were a huge help to us, not just in practical ways but also offering support and advice. Considering that they are 98% funded by public donations, it was my personal choice

Will the judge object? We’ll have to wait and see.

Any more questions either post here or pm or email me and I’ll cut and paste question and answer.
