Dental Project Peru provides emergency dental care and education to the most impoverished and rural areas of Peru.
The majority of our efforts are focused in the Apurimac region situated in the high Andes of Peru at an average elevation of between 3,000 and 5,000 meters above sea level. The area has a population of roughly 50,000 people and is at present serviced by only 2 Peruvian dentists, who are generally non-mobile, poorly equipped, under funded and inaccessible to most residents. Thus, until we began working there, the majority of the population had never seen a dentist or received dental treatment and education and therefore pain and infection goes untreated.Gracias por tomar el tiempo de visitar mi página de JustGiving.
El Proyecto dental Perú proporciona emergencia cuidado y educación dentales a las áreas más empobrecidas y rurales de Perú.
La mayoría de nuestros esfuerzos es enfocada en la región de Apurimac situada en los Andes altos de Perú en una elevación media de entre 3.000 y 5.000 metros sobre el nivel del mar. El área tiene una población de aproximadamente 50.000 personas y está en presente atendido a por sólo 2 dentistas peruanos, que son generalmente no-móvil, mal equipado, bajo financió e inaccesible a la mayoría de los residentes. Así, hasta que empezáramos trabajar allí, la mayoría de la población nunca había visto a un dentista ni tratamiento y la educación dental recibido y por lo tanto dolor e infección van sin tratamiento.
