My story
If you've run into me over the last month, you'll know that I've been cultivating some extremely unimpressive facial hair in the style of Movember.
Much fun has already been had at my expense, because I grow beard like a 12 year old. If you've had a laugh at me, then donate some money to the Southmead Project. If you haven't look at the pictures, leave me a sarcastic comment and donate.
The Southmead Project's mission is to tackle reoccurring problematic drug/alcohol misuse and other ways of self-harming by addressing correlated causal factors such as historic trauma.This sounds like something worth supporting to me, and I think it's a good idea to support a charity that's working in my local area. If you don't donate for me, donate for the suffering of my wife, who suggested this daft idea. I think she regretted it about three days later...

Southmead Project provides specialist counselling support to adult survivors of child abuse who have turned to drugs, alcohol or other ways of self-harming in order to suppress the emotional impact of such trauma. It also delivers training programmes in dealing with clients' disclosure of abuse.
