Diana goes to Everest!! This is the fund raising page for Diana's sponsored trek to Everest Base Camp in December. I'm going with a group of visually impaired people to raise funds for Vitalise, a charity providing holidays for blind and partially sighted people. For this trek I have been "paired" with Leigh and we met for the first time in the Brecon Beacons in September (see picture).
People sometimes ask why blind people want to go on holiday if they can't see the "sights". Well all I can suggest is that you come with us some time and see for yourselves the pleasure that everyone gets from experiencing the world of travel in a mixed group of visually impaired and sighted guides. There is absolutely no doubt that blind people DO want to go on holiday and this fund raising will enable more of them to do so. Please give generously!
