Thanks for dropping by and checking out our Dogs Dinner Appeal Page...
As a result of the recession, Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary is now busier than ever with many people having to give up their pets because of financial reasons or increased working hours.. With rising costs across the board and an increase in animals needing our help over the last 12 months have left our finances in a dire state generally however Christmas is a particularly busy time...
The Dog is for life campaign is very real to us.. we find many animals abandoned in the run up to Christmas to make way for Christmas puppies.. lots of dogs find themselves unloved and abandoned at this time of year (and it is a sad fact that we have to keep checking our gates on Christmas Eve as we often get dogs tied up and left...)
This Christmas, think of those animals who will not have a warm and cosy home to wake up in on Christmas morning as they will be in Holly Hedge.. Our dedicated team of staff and fundraisers try to make it as nice as possible by going in on Christmas Day and cooking up a Christmas lunch for our rescue animals and make sure everyone gets a present from Santa..
We need your help to ensure we can look after the animals that rely on us to look after them.. Just £5 will buy a dog Christmas Lunch, a new blanket or a toy... £10 will buy a new lead or a dog coat to keep them warm, £15 will buy a new bed...
Please dig deep and help us to give these animals a Merry Christmas..
(PS - In the spirit of Christmas, we are attempting to finally answer the 'who is better - dogs or cats?' question... Check out our Festive Felines appeal and donate your money via that page if you prefer the moggies to the mutts...)
