Visually impaired, Dom Hall, 23, is embarking on a 24-hour adventure into the world of Warhammer to raise money for the Cornwall Blind Association.
With seven of his friends he is delving into the battlegrounds on June 19 and 20 to complete the two-day mission at the Royal British Legion in .
Warhammer 40.000 is a science fiction, table-top strategy game set in the 41 millennium with figures and models that are painted by the players themselves. The game involves moving models around a battlefield with dice to determine the outcome of close combats.
Dom said: “I have been playing Warhammer for 12 years now and I really enjoy the social aspect of the game.
“Being visually impaired means that I use a magnifier to paint my models that move around the board, and my friends help me to paint the details.
“I decided to hold the event because I volunteer at the Cornwall Blind Association and I wanted to raise some money so that we can continue to do such a brilliant job helping people like me in .”
The Cornwall Blind Association is a local charity that currently supports 3,500 visually impaired people each year. To support Dom in his quest and to sponsor him, please call 01872 261110.
