Okay, from Sunday 27th November until Friday 2nd December 2011, I'll once again be donning the rucksack and boots for the seventh time this year, climbing the volcanos Pacaya, Santa María, Tajumulco and San Pedro, to raise much-needed funds for our Phoenix Projects here in Guatemala.
So far this year, I have biked from Guatemala to Honduras, climbed 8 volcanos in 3 days in Nicaragua, hiked three days to find the highest waterfall in Brasil, kayaked to the Guatemala Caribbean, hiked the 5225m Cerani Pass in Perú and climbed 3 volcanos in three days in Ecuador, all to raise important funds for Phoenix to help it move forward and grow in 2012 - you can see it all on gviphoenix.blogspot.com
Any money raised this time will go towards secondary and college scholarships for our kids in Guatemala for 2012, costs of which start at GBP75 each. Money raised will also go towards our Old People's Plan and daily fruit and breakfasts for the kids. 2012 hopefully will be the start of Itzapa legalised, so local teacher salaries too could be included in what we raise.
Many thanks in advance, you know it all goes to an excellent cause, may the Phoenix soar!
cheers
