KIDS is the charity that works with disabled children, young people and their families. From ages 0-25 and across all special educational needs and disabilities, we empower young people to achieve their aims while giving parents and carers the skills and confidence to nurture and develop their child. At this time of year, we want to spread the cheer and goodwill – tell us your best joke!

WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP THIS CHRISTMAS

Last year, KIDS cared for 8,000 children and young people which costs us £10.5million. For every £1 spent 92p is spent on delivering our care. 

We provide over 140 different services throughout England – each child and young person we care for has different needs and different levels of care. If we were to generalise – our care costs on average £1,300 per year, per child or young person.

Due to cuts in public funding and a challenging economic environment, we are facing a very challenging financial future. Through this campaign we are asking you to help us raise enough funds to support 100 children and young people by raising £130,000.

KIDS is not a campaigning charity. We provide front line services to families and we work on the behalf to help influence policy and reforms with key decision makers through local authorities and the Department for Education.
