This is Donny who was funny, lively and always had a ready smile. He lost his life to Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) in 2008 when he was only 45. Donny, his mind, his body faded quickly in not much over a year. It may have seemed that he'd lost his "Donnyness" but his soul, his spirit remained always.
ALD is a rare, inherited metabolic disorder usually leading to progressive neurological disability and death. At present there is no cure. So please dig deep and donate now so that more research can be carried out to help find a cure or at least a better chance of managing the symptoms of those who are unfortunate.
