Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. As you may be aware recent years have seen me walk up Ben Nevis, Snowdonia, Scafell Pike, wander about Glasgow with Ian Botham , walking the West Highland Way and The Great Glen. My daft pals and I have been fortunate with everyone's support to raise tens of thousands for a number of wonderful charities. As someone that isn't keen on heights ( Which is a massive understatement) for some reason I agreed to jump out a plane from 10,000 feet skydiving on the 6th of June ( This ended up being the 31st July due to 50mph winds on the 6th). What an experience but not one I will be rushing to do again. On the 9th of June we headed off to walk the Speyside Way over 5 days . The Buckie to Aviemore 65 mile stretch was completed only to discover the Tomintoul spur was an 80 mile round trip ( no car) We also discovered another 12 mile loop via Dufftown. Saturday the 20th saw the Dufftown loop done in just over 4 hours and Sunday the 28th the 15 miles of the Tomintoul spur through mud , water and up a few pretty big hills in 6 and a half hours.  Our charity for this years events is Yorkhill Children's Hospital who most people will have heard of. The Hospital does a fantastic job with wee souls who are ill. I genuinely appreciate the wonderful support everyone has given me over recent years with the fundraising and any support for the years double header (  not literally) would be great. Thanks .  Douglas
