Story

Antelope Park is offering a UNIQUE opportunity to “DUB-A-CUB”.  Our three “K” cubs are now four months of age and are in need of names.  We are offering YOU; our past guests, volunteers and supporters with the opportunity to name these cubs!

We are holding a lottery to name our cubs, enter your chosen name into the lottery as MANY times as you want for only $5 PER entry (or £3 equivalent)!  At the end of the competition we will draw the cubs names from the lottery entries, anyone has a chance to win.  For a better chance to win, buy more entries…a $100 donation equals 20 entries for your chosen name!  Entries will be accepted until November 15, 2013 and the names of the cubs will be announced shortly after.

Just complete the donation form with your name, donation amount and make sure you submit your chosen cub name in the comments section.  Remember the more entries you make, the better chance of winning!

***Please keep in mind that all names MUST begin with the letter “K” as Kanu is their mother and the name must be of African origin.  The local languages of Zimbabwe are Shona and Ndebele, but we are open to languages across the continent. Any names deemed inappropriate will not be entered into the draw.

All funds raised will be used towards an onsite animal clinic at Antelope Park for our lions so that they can receive the best veterinary care onsite at the park.  We will be converting an existing building into a sterile clinic which we will equip with a few small pieces of veterinary equipment that will help us provide onsite care.  We estimate that the necessary equipment will cost us between USD$4000-$5000.

Meet our Cubs:

K1 is a confident cub with a feisty personality

K2 is a cheeky cub with a lovable personality; she loves attention and affection from all.

K3 is a sweet but shy cub, preferring play with her sisters to affection from people.
