Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm not a great one for stories so I'll keep this simple. I've only had two occasions to call an ambulance - once when my son needed rushed to hospital and once when a family member had a bad fall at home. It's the sort of thing you take for granted - that you can make a call and an ambulance will turn up loaded with everything needed to help you or even save your life. After finding out about the work of The Fleet, I realised that's not the case and am proud to be part of the effort to get Cornwall's ambulances among the best equipped in Europe.
Running the London Marathon is a big deal for me. After 40 years of .. well, let's just say not the healthiest lifestyle!, I decided to quit smoking and get (reasonably) healthy. I've always enjoyed running, though I never thought I'd be able to do more than a few miles. But, after a couple of half marathons and my first full marathon at Eden this year - I'm looking forward to taking on the mighty London challenge!
It's great to be able to push myself to the limit and support a fantastic charity at the same time. I know many people already support charities that are close to their heart and it can be a bit of drag when yet another begging bowl is presented but I hope you will give whatever you can - and don't forget to wish me luck, all messages of support will be gratefully received!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So, if you can, please donate now.
Cheers, really appreciate it
