Story

Duncan White & Olly Smith

We've managed to secure a place on the Pioneers edition of the new Rickshaw Run South-East Asia edition!

The basic premise is to travel from Jakarta, Indonesia to Bangkok, Thailand overland (+ a tiny bit on a ferry) in an AutoRickshaw.

For those of you who are familiar with AutoRickshaws, these are temperamental creatures at the best of times! Challenge is that we have to cover approximately 2750 km in transport with a cruising speed of 35 km/h in only 10 days. Add to that a bit of jungle, some mountains, questionable roads, a little political instablity and a smigin of religious extremism and that all adds up to a bit of an Adventure.

So why are we doing this?

The aim of the challenge is to raise funds for two fantastic charities. Children's Surgical Centre (CSC) of Cambodia

and this one, BirdLife International.

BirdLife International is a global Partnership of conservation organisations that strives to conserve birds, their habitats and global biodiversity, working with people towards sustainability in the use of natural resources

Any asistance is very much appreciated by us both. So please dig deep and donate now.

Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
