Thank you very much for visiting my JustGiving web-page.
In November 2010 I shall be undertaking a fairly gruelling challenge on behalf of International Childcare Trust, cycling 530 km in 5 days from Angkor Wat to Sihanoukville, with daily distances ranging from 32km to 126 km over varied terrains. The trip will finish with a Project Visit to the International Childcare Project in Shianoukville, providing the opportunity to see where the fundraising goes, meeting the children that benefit.
The International Childcare Trust is a London based charity supporting and helping children displaced by extreme poverty, armed conflict and disease in some of the worlds most devastated regions. The daily traumas experienced just seeking to live from one day to the next are well documented through various media outlets, but to gain a small insight and meet people that have physically suffered is likely to be a sobering experience.
As part of the challenge, I need to raise £3,000 which goes directly to International Childcare Trust and helps those who need it. Please note that NONE of the money raised goes to my travel as this is all covered by me in advance.
I would be grateful if you could help me meet my target and thank you for your donations. An example of how far your donations go - £5 pays for 20 tetanus vaccinations and £15 provides 2 street children with healthcare for one month. Please remember to tick the gift aid box.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Many thanks in advance.
Duncan
