For months I have bored you all with my cycling-chat, the anti-social way it has dominated my life over the last 6 months, hours in the saddle...but you'll be pleased to know that my endeavours are soon to come to an end and life can resume to some kind of normality.
However I have not shared with many of you the inspiration for these physical challenges, Team Hoyt: a father and son team who raise money for Cerebral Palsy. Youtube them to hear their incredible story, but inspired by them I visited the London centre for children with this tragic condition back in 2009. These children, with keen inquisitive brains, are unable to effectively communicate with the rest of their body and require intensive one to one therapy to ensure that they lead a full and rewarding life.
I ran the Paris marathon for them back in 2009, inspired by the children I met at the centre and felt it was time to do something again to help support the great work that the staff up in north London are committed to. Please support me in my challenge for them and pledge what you can afford,
Many thanks,
Dylan
