On August 7th 2010, we will be taking part in the gruelling Tackle Africa Football Marathon, playing 25 games of 25 minute football over 12 hours, from 8am to 8pm. In the process it is estimated that we will run the equivalent distance of a full marathon, battling the heat and inevitable cramp as we go.

 

We ask for your support in raising our donation target which will help enable the charity to deliver on its goals for the coming year. Its a big target, but if everyone that visits this page donates, we are confident it can be done. With South Africa hosting the World Cup, football has never been more in the spotlight in Africa, and now is a brilliant time to reach the young people most at risk from these horrific diseases.

 

Tackle Africa use the money raised from this event to fund projects aimed at using football to reach young people in Africa to increase their understanding of HIV/AIDS and enabling them to live safe and healthy lives.
