Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Having spent years droning on about how much I want to run the marathon my bluff has finally been called.  Childcare, a small charity based in Essex has been kind enough to give me the opportunity and I hope to be able to provide more details about their work in due course.  In the meantime, this site encourages me to target my audience, to be creative and to include photos and videos, presumably including hilarious shots of me in great pain whilst training for the big day.  Those of you who know me well will know that I have neither an imagination nor a sense of humour and that my dog has more impressive IT skills than I do.  Nevertheless, in an effort to raise money for this great cause, I'm going to try.

So, in the spirit of giving, I undertake to let my imagination know no bounds, to be funny (ish) and to find the lead for my mobile which contains the only camera I possess.  And, having found the lead, I promise to try to figure out not just how to download the photos onto my computer but also to master the dark arts required to then get them on this page.  Actually, I'm hoping my kids will help me here. 

And when I'm not doing all of that, I will be trying to get myself fit enough to actually complete the course.
