In 2011 we visited Slatina, in Romania, to undertake a weeks volunteering with the Wishing Well Charity. Whilst we were there we became involved in two initiatives:
Equal Start is an education support programme that targets the poorest, most disadvantaged children. Its aim is to work with children in the year before they start school and then continue to support them throughout their formative years.
Positive Futures works with institutionalised children and adults. Its aim is to work with the local Social Services departments to brighten up insitutions and make them a more personal and non-institutional place to live.
We want to continue to raise funds to support these programmes and would love it if you provided a donation to Wishing Well. We will be returning to Romania in the Spring of 2012.
