BUPA Great Edinburgh Run 2006 · 7 May 2006 ·

We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients aged 13-24. We fund and build specialist units in NHS hospitals and provide dedicated staff, bringing young people together so they can be treated by teenage cancer experts in the best place for them.

Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online.

We have lots of 'bad hair' days when we are running - Imagine being 16 and having not only ‘bad hair days’ but ‘no hair days’.  Imagine watching your friends play football when you face the prospect of losing a limb.  The Teenage Cancer Trust strives to make life better for these patients by creating specialist adolescent units in NHS hospitals. TCT anticipate a 15% increase in survival rates for teenagers treated in these units, who benefit from the specialist care available as well as the support and company of people their own age.
It would be wonderful if you could help raise awareness in of this important charity and at the same time support my fundraising efforts.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Teenage Cancer Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support.
